            Abstract:
According to new medical research, risk of certain type of breast cancer can be reduced by high daily intake of coffee upto 60%. Breast cancer is a complex disease which has two types hormone responsive (estrogen receptor ER) and non-hormone-responsive (ER negative) sub types.

            Objectives:
In a recent health article, it was revealed that drinking over five cups of coffee in a day can reduce the risks of development of a sub type of breast cancer which is known as anti-oestrogen-resistant oestrogen receptor (ER-negative) breast cancer.

            Design:
It is proposed that coffee is the mixture of caffeine and poly phenols which act as a carcinogen and chemo protective agent.

            Setting or Place:
The team of Swedish researcher, based at the Karolinska institute did a comparison of women with breast cancer who takes coffee with those women who did not and found that coffee drinkers have lesser incident of developing breast cancer by about 57%.

            Participants:
            women with breast cancer.

            Results:
No evidence was found that coffee increases post menopause breast cancer. however, daily intake of coffee decreases the ER-negative breast cancer among post menopausal women.
conclusion:It was concluded from this research that drinking at last five cups of coffee daily reduces the risk of breast cancer specially ER-negative breast cancer.

Be careful about too much caffeine. There are too many unknowns and too many conflicting studies around for years.

Wow, who knew that coffee was so good for you? It's so confusing, one minute I'm reading an article about its benefits and the next there's something about how terrible it is... I think I'll just stick to the good ones! ;)

Well this makes me feel better about having my morning cup! @Dentist West: It is very confusing, there are lots of theories out there for either side of this argument. I think moderation is the key. Not too much is a good thing but you don't have to necessarily go to none. Thanks for the info!

Very interesting article and a good find. Yes, I think that you have to drink caffeine in moderation because of the side effects, but it should be very helpful. It definitely makes you think! Thanks for sharing!

Even though there are small studies which still show that caffeine can cause fertility related problems, but there are no adequate research to prove it. Quite some time back a scientist had proved that males undergoing fertility related treatment had their condition worsened by consuming caffeine but still there is no evidence to show the effects of caffeine in a normal male.
