            Natural sources of Glutamine
            Before discussing the health benefits of glutamine, which are substantial, we would like to just highlight a few  glutamine facts. The Glutamine is really necessary for many functions of a normal body.The main summary is;

            1-Glutamine is an amino acid protein found in the muscles of the body.

            2-Glutamine (molecular weight: 146.15 g/mol) is one of the most abundant free amino acid.

            3-Glutamine (molecular weight: 146.15 g/mol) is among the 20 amino acids which are necessary to produce  genetic code.

            4-Glutamine is a non-essential amino acid which means it can be produced by the body and is involved in a variety of metabolic processes.

            5-Glutamine has recently been re-classified as a conditionally essential amino acid. This means that while the body can make glutamine, under extreme physical stress the demand for glutamine exceeds the body's ability to synthesize it. In the situation of stress Glutamine pool decreases and body have to compensate it through the methods like supplementation. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body.

            Nice info! in times of physical stress, the human body may benefit from extra glutamine. There are also claims that supplementation with glutamine can help with depression, insomnia, and anxiety. It is also sometimes used in IV nutrition, especially for critically ill people. Some of these claimed benefits may have some scientific evidence in their favor, while others have absolutely no scientific basis.

            This is interesting because I was using glutamine for many years back when I was a college baseball player, but stopped once I started P90X, but it seems like I should start taking it again since I'm doing such an extreme program. Am I right? Or do you think that eating a healthy diet is good enough?

I'm fully agreed with this article for the role of glutamine besides my personal suggestion concerning animal derived protein that with very consciously take in your daily diet list. Reduce animal protein, boosting fiber in your diet for better health. Last paragraph, very important who loves animal protein particularly pregnants. Very helpful article. We want more like that. Good job.

            Wow! I never realized that glutamine was such an all star. Is there any in a multi vitamin usually? I don't want to add the supplement if I'm already getting it.

            Glutamine is the most common amino acid found in your muscles - over 61% of skeletal muscle is Glutamine. Glutamine consists of 19% nitrogen, making it the primary transporter of nitrogen into your muscle cells.
            During intense training, Glutamine levels are greatly depleted in your body, which decreases strength, stamina and recovery. It could take up to 6 days for Glutamine levels to return to normal - and Glutamine plays a key role in protein synthesis. Studies have shown that L-Glutamine supplementation can minimize breakdown of muscle and improve protein metabolism.
            But you have to find time for your favorite MP3 music. Listen to U2, Bassnectar, Elvis Presley!

            Is Glutamine related to Glucosamine? I take that everyday for bone and joint pains and find it effective.

            What are the natural sources of Glutamine?
